President of the Management Board of HBOR Hrvoje Čuvalo participated in the LP-GP Networking Event 2026 held in Dubrovnik from 30 September to 2 October 2026 that brought together representatives of venture capital and private equity funds, institutional investors, family offices, and other participants in the European investment ecosystem. The event was organised by the Croatian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (CVCA).
In his presentation, Čuvalo outlined the development of HBOR’s equity investments and the Bank’s role in the development of the Croatian capital market. He pointed out that, over the past few years, HBOR had expanded its investment portfolio to encompass various market segments, ranging from technology transfer and venture capital funds to private equity, mezzanine, and infrastructure funds.
He also presented plans for the upcoming period, including the conducting of a new market gap analysis for the 2027-2031 period, establishing of a pre-IPO fund, for which HBOR secured EUR 30 million of its own funds, as well as establishing of a special company to manage HBOR’s equity investments.
“Croatia’s capital market has made significant progress in recent years, and today, more sources of financing are available than ever before. Our goal is to identify areas where market gaps still exist and to develop instruments that will attract additional private and institutional capital. We believe that public-private partnerships can deliver the greatest development impact for the Croatian economy,” emphasized the President of the Management Board of HBOR.
