Vesna Deep Tech Venture Fund (2024)

Vesna Deep Tech Venture Fund is the first technology transfer fund that covers the region of Croatia and Slovenia. The establishment of the Fund was made possible by the joint initiative of HBOR, SID Bank (Slovenian Export and Development Bank) and the European Investment Fund, which signed an agreement to create the first regional platform for financing the commercialisation of innovative technological and scientific solutions created at universities, research institutes and knowledge centres in Croatia and Slovenia.

The Fund invests in:

• Projects in the "Proof of Concept" phase that need financial resources to assess the feasibility of the concept and transfer the research results to the commercialisation process, or
• Companies that are in the earliest stages of development (Seed, Start-up or Later Stage Venture).

The Fund is managed by Vesna Venture Capital with offices in Zagreb and Ljubljana.

The investment period of the Fund lasts until 2029.
