HBOR was one of the co-organisers of the conference held on 4 April 2025 in the hall of the Rectorate of the University of Zagreb. The conference was organised by the Ministry of Finance with the support of the European Commission in the Republic of Croatia. Other co-organisers were the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Green Transition, the Croatian National Bank, the Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency, and the University of Zagreb.
The Minister of Environmental Protection and Green Transition and the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Finance Marko Primorac welcomed the European Commission's efforts regarding the simplification and administrative relief for entrepreneurs. They said that the green transition was one of the strategic goals of the Government of the Republic of Croatia, and that Croatia remained committed to the goals of the Paris Agreement on climate change and the European Green Deal.
Member of HBOR’s Management Board Alan Herjavec also participated in the panel called "The Contribution of the Financial Sector to Business Transformation in Accordance with Sustainability Standards“ moderated by Ms. Sandra Švaljek, Deputy Governor of the Croatian National Bank. Mr. Alan Herjavec explained, among other things, how HBOR supported the green transition, which were the KPIs of our new strategy related to the green transition, how HBOR had developed internal technical capacities, and what were the motives of entrepreneurs for investing in green projects.
