Second Conference “Women and Entrepreneurship” held in Varaždin County
Suzana Laušin-Katanec, Credit Division Executive Director of HBOR participated in the 2nd Conference “Women and Entrepreneurship” held on 7 March in Varaždin in the organisation of LALS MEDIA d.o.o. and Varaždin County, in the first panel Consulting “Financing of female entrepreneurs - grants, incentives, co-financing of interest - development of a start-up environment, green and digital”.
Participants in the Conference were also the Chairman of the Chamber of Trades and Crafts of Varaždin County Igor Šoković, Head of the regional office of the Croatian Employment Service, Regional Office Varaždin Branka Šaško and the Head of Small and Medium-Sized Companies Unit of HAMAG-BICRO Sabina Cvitan.
“HBOR promotes entrepreneurship through various programmes, but among other things, we have created special lines for youth, women and start-ups with the aim of encouraging the development of this special target group. We are aware that this group is riskier and can obtain support from commercial banks with more difficulty. Therefore, HBOR is here with its specific programmes and favourable lending terms and conditions. When we talk about the loan programme for women, it is important that women have an ownership of more than 50 percent in that company or crafts business. Various types of very favourable financing are possible. I would particularly like to emphasize financing under the NRRP for those target groups, where the interest rate is 0.4 percent, for all investments related to green and digital transition,“ explained Suzana Laušin-Katanec.
The Conference was supported by the coordinator of HBOR's regional offices and the Head of the Regional Office for Northwest Croatia Tomislav Marković, who pointed out that HBOR encourages entrepreneurship and offers loans for which entrepreneurs can apply, including female entrepreneurs who would like to succeed in their businesses.
